Welcome to what we affectionately call “the little pink house”. I will tell you honestly that my time here has not always been easy, but it has always been worthwhile. I would not alter my experience in any way. I have seen what it means to love and be loved, challenged to become all I was created to be, supported while I grieved my past and attempted to understand my future, believed in fiercely so that I was one day able to believe in myself. I was met in every stage of my life with patience and kindness and taught to do the same for myself. The blessings I have received has been countless but the greatest of all has been that of truth. I used to believe that it was what was done to me that made the greatest impact. Now I understand it is not the abuse that was the defining moment(s). Rather it is the healing. I know now what it means to live rather than exist. I learned that at Connections. J.S.
