BE THE SCREAM
In our schools our kids learn about “good touch, bad touch”; and at night some of them are touched. These kids carry the guilt and the shame as they have inadvertently been made responsible for stopping their own abuse. Kids are powerless to stop sex abuse. They need the adults in their community to be responsible for rising up and saying “stop”. Be the Scream is our action plan to remove the responsibility of stopping sex abuse from the shoulders of our children. Our kids are screaming as loud as they can. We need to Be the Scream!
Be the Scream is working to bring light to the underlying stereotypes, gender language and media messages that build a culture that accepts interpersonal sexual violence. Get more information on our Advocacy tab!
